Big Band Charts
Originally played by the UConn Jazz Ensemble, Bad Timing is a contemporary big band chart that showcases the swing of the entire band. The solo section can feature any number of musicians, which sets up for a shout chorus of interplay throughout the band. Lead Trumpet written to D6. As recorded by Tigger Kluessendorf.
The Christmas Waltz
This contemporary arrangement of The Christmas Waltz is scored for four horn jazz combo with vocal solo. It features a melodic theme that is restated throughout the piece, as well as a horn soli and a piano solo. The trumpet calls for a cup mute throughout the entire piece which complements the sound of the soprano sax.
