Swish
Composed and Arranged by Jim Martin
Swish! is a fun, hard-driving rock uptempo rock chart with some fun lines in the horns. This chart was written for subscribers of the 6 Pack Jazz Series 2002. It is a great chart to play at basketball games, pep rallies, or just good sight reading for your jazz ensemble. Click on the player to listen.
This is a funky version of the classic tune, When The Saints Go Marchin In. Suitable for basketball games or rallies. Have your jazz ensemble read it down to help with dotted sixteenth rhythms and to play in a groove.
This chart can be played "as is" or repeated and solos added where needed. Your band will enjoy playing this one. Take a listen to a college band reading through this chart.
After Dark is a fun little chart based on the old Van Morrison tune Moondance. Its set in a swing style and will work well with the young jazz ensemble and or pep band. No solos are written but the chart could be opened up if soloists really want to blow, just repeat the form.
